Circulation Section
All registered users of Provincial Library Balochistan, Quetta are entitled to borrow books. Lending privileges differ for various categories. Please inquire at the Circulation desk/Section.
Reference Section
Trained and highly qualified staff are available to give reference services to all Members of PLB, members may avail benefits from Library Reference section where thousands are books/research are available as reference material.
News Paper & Periodical Section
The library has subscribed a wide range of English and Urdu leading national newspapers and periodicals. The library also maintains two year previous record of the newspapers for reference and research purpose. Older than two years records of periodical will be handed over to our neighbor directive, Directorate of Archives.
Digital Library
Provincial Library Balochistan gives Digital Library facility to its valued members, where member may access to all over the world libraries and other reference materials/lectures.
Audio Visual Section
PLB provides The Audiovisual and Multimedia facility where non book materials are kept, members may connect with the international forum for persons working with non-book media in every kind of library and information service.
Ladies Section
Library has quite separate section for female members, where they can study more comfortably. Female Library staff are available for their guidance too.
Children/Kids Section
A section has furnished by UNICEF for children/kids which is well equipped by children’s learning, playing and watching equipment’s.
Photocopy/Print Services
Photocopy facility is available for readers to
make copies from Reference books or get print from any website.
Suggest a Book
Provincial Library Balochistan Quetta welcomes suggestions from members, for the acquisition of materials that support teaching, study, and research. Know of a book the Provincial Library Balochistan Quetta should own? Fill out our “recommendation for acquisition” form and we will generally purchase the book. We put a rush order on it, and notify you when it has arrived so you can be the first to use it!
